Is it permissible for a Muslim woman residing in a European country to remove her hijab for a limited period for fear of harm given the current circumstances?

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to remove her hijab when leaving her home, whether she is in a European or an Islamic country. In fact, her adherence to the hijab in a non-Muslim country is even more crucial, as Allah Almighty says: (O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they should be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful) [Al-Ahzab: 59]. It is obligatory for a woman to stay in her home, for it is her dwelling and place of abode, as Allah Almighty says: (And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance) [Al-Ahzab: 33]. She is permitted to go out to fulfill her needs while wearing the Islamic hijab. If she is unable to wear the hijab, she is not permitted to go out except for necessity, to the extent of that necessity, and then she returns to her home. If there is no necessity, she is not permitted to go out, as the preservation of religion takes precedence over fulfilling non-essential needs.
