What is incumbent upon a husband who does not work and is married to two women; should he divorce the first or the second?

A person's sustenance and that of his family are predestined and recorded with Allah. Divorcing one's wife does not increase sustenance; rather, marriage brings blessings and sustenance, as Allah Almighty says: "And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous of your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing." Allah has commanded spending on one's family according to one's ability and has promised ease after hardship. It is advised not to divorce, but rather to trust in Allah and strive to seek sustenance, while taking the necessary means. Wives should help their husbands by considering their circumstances, and if possible, work in a way that does not violate Islamic regulations and the needs of the household, for they will be rewarded for that.
