And is she entitled to observe the waiting period (ʿiddah) in her husband's home, despite existing disagreements between them and the husband's fear of ill intentions from her family?

The answer

It is not permissible to prevent a woman who has been given a revocable divorce (talaq raj'i) from living in her husband's house during her 'iddah (waiting period). If the husband fears she might seize the house, he can divorce her with an irrevocable divorce (talaq ba'in), in which case she has no right to dwelling. This applies if the irrevocable divorce by three repudiations is not a bid'i (innovated) divorce. Otherwise, he should rent a house for her to observe her 'iddah in, because a man is permitted to remove his divorced wife from his house if she causes him harm, and he should rent another place for her.
