What are the rights of a husband over his humiliated and abandoned wife, if she wishes for her Lord to be pleased with her without debasing herself?

Spouses must cohabit with kindness, and the husband must treat his wife well, without harming her or abandoning her without a legitimate reason. Otherwise, she is permitted to request the removal of harm or divorce. If the husband abuses or abandons her without a legitimate reason, he is an oppressor, and the wife has the right to request the removal of harm or divorce, and her patience will be rewarded. The husband has the right to obedience in what is good. Some scholars believe that an oppressed wife may withhold some of her husband's rights to the extent that he withholds her rights from her.
