If the color of Islam is white, why is the color of Mecca's covering black and not white?

Islam did not adopt a specific color for itself, as it is authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wore white and red. He entered Mecca wearing a black turban, and he tied black banners and flags. Similarly, the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the Companions used all colors in their clothing and banners. As for thebah's covering being black, this was not part of the Shari'ah; rather, it used to be covered with all colors before and after Islam, and it remained black after Al-Nasir the Abbasid covered it with black brocade.
