The value of married life is based on the principles of the wise Sharia. The wife must respect, obey, and safeguard her husband, and the husband must care for his wife, preserve her status, and fulfill her rights. If the wife disobeys her husband and becomes rebellious, we advise seeking reconciliation with her and persuading her to travel to a Muslim country so that the husband can exercise his right of qawamah over her and raise the children according to Islamic values. Divorce should not be a solution unless all avenues of reform are exhausted.
