Will a wife be rewarded for her patience with a husband she does not love? Is she considered a betrayer for thinking of the one she loved? Is she sinful despite not betraying and fearing God? Can God marry her to the one she loved in the Hereafter?

The fundamental principle is that a woman in Paradise will be with her last husband from this world. Some say she will be with the one who had the best character among them. Others say she will be given a choice if she was married to more than one man. However, if she had only one husband, she will be with him. The standards of life in Paradise differ from those in this world. Allah will cast love into the hearts of its inhabitants and remove malice, and He will make husbands love their wives and vice-versa. As for a woman loving someone other than her husband, this is a serious matter that can lead to grave consequences and contradicts the affection between spouses. Therefore, she must cast this feeling out of her heart and dedicate her love sincerely to her husband. Allah will reward her abundantly for doing so.
