How can a young man studying medicine far from his family overcome the lust that drives him to masturbate, despite his attempts to commit to religious obligations, lower his gaze, and pray, all of which negatively affect his studies and academic achievement time, taking into account that he cannot fast due to the need for food for studying and his fear of failure?

Lust is an innate human disposition, and it is curbed by faith and mindfulness of Allah. If you are able to marry, then do so. Otherwise, you must fast, for it is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) advice: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity. And whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for it is a shield for him." Cut off the causes of temptation, such as looking at non-mahram women, and seek refuge in Allah through supplication for chastity. Be keen on righteous companionship to help you remain steadfast.
