What are the common mistakes in going to and staying overnight in Mina?

Among the mistakes made when going to Mina: Not raising one's voice with the Talbiyah, whereas raising it is a confirmed Sunnah. Another mistake is some pilgrims going directly to Arafah without spending the night in Mina on the eve of the ninth (Dhul-Hijjah). This is permissible, even if it contradicts the Sunnah, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever witnesses our prayer, and stands with us until we depart, and has stood before that in Arafah by night or by day, then his Hajj is complete, and he has fulfilled his purification." Another mistake is combining prayers with shortening them in Mina, whereas the Sunnah is to shorten prayers without combining them, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to shorten but not combine them there.
