What should I do about my husband's frequent outings to the coffee shop despite my disapproval?
Allah commanded treating wives with kindness (ma'ruf). Therefore, a husband should not harm his wife by frequent absences if it leads to the neglect of her right to companionship or causes her to feel lonely. There is no blame upon him for going out for his needs or for recreation, provided he is cautious not to waste time in long gatherings that lead to neglecting duties. The wife should not be jealous of her husband if his going out is not for a suspicious reason, because jealousy for no suspicious reason is disliked.
