Is my ablution and prayer valid despite the presence of hair extensions that prevented water from reaching the hair during wiping?

If what was placed on the head acts as a barrier preventing water from reaching it, then the two prayers must be repeated. However, if it was not a barrier, or if water reached part of the head, then the ablution is valid, as most scholars permit a woman to wipe over part of her head.
