What is the ruling on making a phone ringtone a Quranic verse, a supplication (du'a), or the call to prayer (adhan), and is it permissible to interrupt it to answer a call?

Qur’anic verses, supplications (du’a), or remembrances (dhikr) should not be used as phone ringtones, due to the ensuing reservations, among them: their exposure to disrespect by entering impure places, and among them: interrupting the recitation when answering a call, and turning away from the word of Allah to the words of humans. It is more appropriate for the phone ringtone to be a wisdom or a line of poetry conveying advice, and for a specific time to be allocated for dhikr and reciting the Qur’an with contemplation.
