Is a wife sinful for disliking her husband, whom she describes as "careless and irresponsible," and for not encouraging him to worship, such as for Fajr prayer, and for his missing congregational prayers?

The relationship between spouses should be based on affection, mercy, understanding, overlooking mistakes, and considering circumstances. Each should look at the good aspects of the other's character. The husband's right over his wife is great, and she must obey him in what is good and deal with him kindly. If the wife obeys her husband in what is good, does not fall short in his rights, and does not treat him disrespectfully, then she is not sinful for not showing cheerfulness in his face. However, cheerfulness and soft speech are part of perfect good companionship, and they bring affection and increase harmony. The wife must gently advise her husband if he falls short in a duty. Part of good companionship is cooperating with him in acts of obedience. It is advisable to be patient with the husband, continuously remind him of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, encourage him to obey Allah, and exhort him to good character.
