What is the ruling on Tawaf al-Nisa and how is it performed?

In Hajj, there is no circumambulation called "Tawaf an-Nisa' (Circumambulation of Women)." The circumambulation in Hajj is of two types: 1. Tawaf al-Ifadah (or Ziyarah): This is a pillar of Hajj, based on the Almighty's saying: "and perform Tawaf around the Ancient House." 2. Tawaf al-Wada' (Farewell Circumambulation): This is obligatory, and whoever omits it must offer a sacrifice (dam), except for a menstruating woman or a woman in postpartum bleeding. The circumambulation in 'Umrah is a pillar without which it is not valid.

Manner of Tawaf: Tawaf begins from the Black Stone, with the Kaaba on one's left, and consists of seven circuits. One should touch and kiss the Black Stone; if difficult, one points to it saying: "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar (In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest)." One touches the Yemeni Corner if possible. Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, one says: "Rabbana atina fi ad-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina 'adhab an-nar (Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the torment of the Fire)." After completing the Tawaf, one prays two rak'ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim if possible, reciting Surah Al-Kafirun and Surah Al-Ikhlas in them.
