Is it permissible to take a trace (Athaar) from one's mother when suspecting being afflicted by the evil eye from her, and is that considered disobedience to parents (Uqooq)?
"The evil eye is real, and if anything could precede divine decree, it would be the evil eye. To protect against it, if one of you admires something, he should invoke blessings upon it [say 'Barakallah']. For treatment, if the 'A'in' (person who cast the evil eye) is known, he is instructed to perform ablution (Wudu'), and the water should be poured over the afflicted person. If you are certain that the evil eye came from the mother, there is no harm in requesting the water from her ablution, while explaining to her that there is nothing wrong with it, as admiration can cause the evil eye even from a beloved one. If the mother is angry, it is permissible to take her washing water without her knowledge, while frequently reciting legal incantations (Ruqyah Shari'ah)."
