What should we do regarding the spread of fabricated hadiths and innovated supplications, such as the prayer "Ya Wadud, Ya Wadud..." (O Most Loving, O Most Loving...), on the internet and in mobile messages?
Negligence in spreading fabricated and weak hadiths attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has become widespread recently. This is one of the major sins and undermines the religion. A Muslim must:
1. Verify the authenticity of a hadith before spreading it; otherwise, they fall under the warning of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever narrates a hadith from me, believing it to be a lie, is one of the liars." 2. Not use the excuse of acting upon weak hadiths concerning the virtues of deeds, as this has strict conditions that do not apply to fabricated or severely weak hadiths. 3. If one falls into this due to ignorance, they must repent, rectify the error, and clarify the truth.
Authentic and well-established hadiths should be spread instead of fabricated ones.
