Do the dead have a life like ours on another planet, and do they see their beloved ones and dead relatives, and do they see us or hear our news? And do their souls remain in the grave to emerge on the Day of Resurrection? And do they feel worries and depression? And has Allah, the Almighty, fully described to us the dead and their lives, or are there things that no one knows but Him?

The matter of Al-Barzakh is from the unseen, and a Muslim believes in what has been stated about it in authentic texts. The deceased have an ‫existence in Al-Barzakh‬ that is entirely different from life in this world, and their bodies are beneath the earth, not on another planet. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, explicitly stated that the soul is returned to the body in the grave at the time of questioning. There are five types of connection between the soul and the body. The deceased knows who visits them if they knew them in this world and finds comfort in their loved ones. They also learn news of their families by asking the deceased who have joined them. However, their ability to see all those they knew, whether living or dead, has not been mentioned in the texts. The deceased may experience psychological pain and worries in their grave, and they may suffer from the crying of their family over them. It is prescribed for the worshiper to ask Allah to protect them from that torment.
