Does a person remember, after their death, the events of their worldly life, both good and bad, and does ill-treatment or the shortcomings of their children grieve them? And does the deceased remain asleep until the Day of Resurrection?

After the believer is questioned in the grave, and Allah strengthens him and teaches him his proof, it is said to him: "Sleep like the sleep of a bride," and his sleep will be the most beautiful sleep until Allah resurrects him. According to Al-Tirmidhi: "When the deceased is buried, two angels come to him and ask him about the Prophet. If he speaks the truth, his grave is widened for him and illuminated, and then it is said to him: 'Sleep like the sleep of a bride.' But if he was a hypocrite, he would say: 'I don't know,' and it would be said to the earth: 'Clasp him,' and he would remain tormented." As for his remembrance of what happened in this world, there is nothing to prevent or prove that, but it is established that the inhabitants of the Barzakh rejoice at those who arrive and ask them about their acquaintances from the people of this world.
