What should one do who is accustomed to looking at women, while being diligent in prayer and married, and has not repented of this habit?
Lowering one's gaze from the forbidden is among the signs of faith, as Allah Almighty says: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts." Whoever has accustomed himself to letting his gaze roam freely upon the forbidden must fear Allah and be grateful for the blessing of sight by using it in what pleases Allah. And just as you would not be pleased for people to see and follow your family, do not be pleased with this for yourself. In what Allah has made lawful, there is sufficient provision to abstain from the forbidden.
