Is a wife obligated to help her husband with household expenses from inherited money if he struggles to find work, and she does so willingly?

A wife's financial assistance to her husband from her own money, and for household expenses, is a good deed that indicates her good character. She will be rewarded for it and will gain her husband's affection. Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted Zaynab, the wife of Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with her, to give her charity to her poor husband and her orphaned nephews. He said to her: "You will have the reward of charity and the reward of maintaining kinship ties." However, such assistance is not obligatory upon her.
