What is the meaning of "the covenant is disavowed from him" in the Hadith: "Whoever spends the night on a roofless house and falls and dies, the covenant is disavowed from him"? And is one who dies from falling from a walled roof considered a martyr or rewarded? And is one who falls from an unwalled roof and dies neither rewarded nor considered a self-murderer?

The hadith indicating that "whoever sleeps on an unbarricaded roof has no covenant of protection" is authentic. The meaning of "has no covenant of protection" is that whoever disobeys the prohibition of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has forfeited Allah's covenant of preservation and care, and if he dies, his death is not held against anyone. However, whoever falls from a barricaded roof is hoped to be a martyr, based on the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: «Whoever is killed in the way of Allah is a martyr, and the one who dies of an abdominal disease is a martyr, and the one who dies by falling is a martyr, and the woman who dies in childbirth is a martyr, and the one who drowns is a martyr, and the one who dies of pleurisy is a martyr, and the one who dies in a fire is a martyr, and the stranger is a martyr.» As for someone who deliberately sleeps on an unbarricaded roof, falls, and dies, this ruling does not apply to him because he exposed himself to peril.
