The answer

It is a divine grace for a servant to die while maintaining regular prayers, especially in congregation, as Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab said: "Whoever consistently performs the five prayers in congregation has filled the land and sea with worship." There is no objection to engaging in worldly affairs after prayer, as long as no forbidden act is committed, for Allah Almighty says: "And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah." If a worshipper commits major sins, he remains a Muslim worthy of intercession, and extreme caution must be exercised against declaring him an infidel.
