Is it obligatory for a Muslim to say to his Muslim brother, "Indeed, I love you for the sake of Allah," if he loves him?

Informing friends and companions of one's love for them is considered a part of good companionship etiquette and virtuous morals. It contributes to strengthening the bonds of love and connection among Muslims. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If one of you loves his brother, let him inform him that he loves him." This is due to its effect in instilling love in the heart of the one who is informed, increasing affection between them. This action is recommended, not obligatory, due to its role in strengthening familiarity and affection and uniting the word of Muslims.
