What is the ruling concerning the money the Imam receives as salary, is his Hajj valid, and what advice is directed to him, knowing that he does not perform the duties required of him and entrusted to him, such as leading the five daily prayers and the Tarawih prayer?

The position of Imam is critical due to its connection with emulation. The Imam is a role model, whether for good or evil. His position is a trust that must be fulfilled, and this is especially true for the mosque Imam. He must preserve the five daily prayers in the mosque and be a role model in virtuous character, being gentle with people and not discriminating in his treatment of them. If he falls short in fulfilling this trust, then the extent of his negligence makes a portion of the salary he receives unlawful.
