The condition set by the guardian upon the groom, that he should not consummate the marriage with his wife until after a specific period, is a valid condition. If the wife waives this condition, it becomes void. However, if this condition is tied to a benefit for the father, then the wife waiving the condition without her father's knowledge and permission is considered a sin and an act of disobedience. As for the father's condition that the husband should not see her, this condition contradicts the marriage contract, unless his entry into the house would lead to the disclosure of the marriage or incite gossip. In that case, he must fulfill the condition patiently until the marriage is announced.
