Is the husband entitled to intimacy with his wife before the marriage contract is formalized, even though her guardian stipulated that consummation should not occur until formalization, in order to avoid falling into what is forbidden? Is it permissible to see the wife without a hijab or touch her without intercourse before formalization? Is it permissible for the wife to move in and live with her husband before the marriage contract is formalized?

The husband must fulfill the condition by which he was permitted to consummate the marriage. It is not lawful for him to be intimate with his wife before the marriage is documented. The wife has the right to withhold herself until she receives her prompt dower. The wife is obligated to obey her father in what he commands her regarding good deeds. Both spouses should be cautious and refrain from any act that could lead to intimacy as long as the condition remains. There is no objection to documenting the contract in another country if possible, with the father's knowledge. The husband should frequently seek Allah's forgiveness and ask Him for sustenance.
