What are the husband's rights regarding the wife he has contracted with but has not yet consummated the marriage with, if she is still in her father's house, and is her father's consent required for her to go out with him or speak with him, and who has the right to make general decisions concerning her, such as her work or purchases?

After the marriage contract and before the wedding, the woman is not obligated to obey her husband regarding intimacy or going out, and she remains under her father's care. The husband is not obligated to financially support her during this stage unless he refuses to proceed with the wedding. It is customary for the husband not to approach his wife intimately before the wedding, as this could harm her reputation, especially if Allah decrees separation and she becomes pregnant or loses her virginity before the wedding. Therefore, there should not be anything between them that typically occurs between spouses before the wedding.
