Is it considered that the three divorces which occurred at distant intervals—one over the phone in a moment of anger, and two others likewise—constitute an irrevocable divorce, after which reconciliation is not possible unless the woman marries another man, even if the husband's intention was not divorce?

Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce unless the person is not aware of what he is saying, and it has no effect on determining the number of divorces. If the husband says to his wife: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," if he intended one divorce or did not intend anything, one divorce occurs. If he intended three, then three occur. Writing a divorce by 'kinayah' (implication) does not result in divorce unless accompanied by intention. An explicit divorce results in divorce even if the husband did not intend it. Knowing the husband's intention and the degree of his anger is essential, and it is preferable to consult a Sharia court or a scholar.
