How can the hadith \"Book of Allah and my Sunnah\" be accepted when it does not exist in any of the reliable books such as Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and others, especially since it contradicts the fact that the Quran was not compiled during the Prophet's time and that the Sunnah was not recorded until after his death, whereas the hadith \"Book of Allah and my descendants, my Ahlul Bayt\" is found and authenticated in their books.

The first hadith (Book of Allah and my progeny) is authentic in the narration of Muslim only in the wording: \"Indeed, I am leaving among you two weighty things: the first of them is the Book of Allah, in it is guidance and light, so take the Book of Allah and hold fast to it; and my household, I remind you of Allah regarding my household.\" From it is gleaned: the naming of the Book of Allah and the household as the two weighty things, the command to follow the Book of Allah, and the admonition regarding the household. It does not contain a command to follow the progeny.

As for the hadith (Book of Allah and my Sunnah) it is correct from the hadith of Ibn Abbas only. Its meaning is correct and agreed upon even if the hadith itself is not authentic, because infallibility is in the words of Allah, the words of His Messenger, and the consensus of the Ummah. The consensus of the progeny is not a proof on the correct saying.
