What is the ruling on lending money to someone to buy a bridal trousseau, which is exaggerated for show, and will the doer of that be rewarded?

The basic principle concerning lending is that it is a desirable act of worship, for which a Muslim is rewarded, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no Muslim who lends a Muslim twice, but it is as if he has given its equivalent in charity once." The rulings on lending can change, becoming obligatory if the borrower is in dire need and the lender is wealthy, or forbidden if the lender knows that the borrower will spend it on an act of disobedience, or disliked if the borrower will spend it on something disliked. If the borrower's purpose for the money is showing off, boasting, and extravagance, which is considered disliked or forbidden, then do not assist him in that.
