Is it permissible to slaughter an animal while it is standing, and is cutting off its legs before slaughtering it permissible or forbidden?

Slaughtering while the animal is standing is permissible, and it is better for camels, due to the Almighty's saying: "And the camels and cattle—We have appointed them for you as among the symbols of Allah; in them is good for you. So mention the Name of Allah over them when they are lined up in sacrifice" (Al-Hajj: 36). Also, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, slaughtered seven camels with his own hand while they were standing. As for laying down other animals, that is better. It is forbidden to cut any part of the animal before slaughtering it, due to the torment it inflicts. It is also forbidden to eat this severed part, based on the hadith: "Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive is carrion." The majority of scholars dislike cutting off any part of a sacrificial animal after its slaughter until its spirit departs. The Hanbalis consider it forbidden. The majority of scholars permit eating what is cut after slaughter, contrary to Ibn Hazm's view.
