Does masturbation constitute an act of disbelief (kufr) if it occurs involuntarily and repeatedly, and does this situation necessitate repentance?

Masturbation is a sin, not an act of disbelief (kufr), even if it is accompanied by disbelieving whispers (waswasah). This is because Allah does not hold a person accountable for what whispers in their heart unless they speak it or act upon it. And His, the Almighty's, saying: "Indeed, those who believed then disbelieved, then believed then disbelieved, then increased in disbelief - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way" clarifies that whoever entered into faith, then disbelieved, then returned [to faith], then disbelieved and persisted in their error until death, there is no repentance for them after their death. And if the repentance of a disbeliever is accepted before their death, then the repentance of a sinner is even more deserving of acceptance. What is required is repentance from masturbation, and there is no accountability for the whispers. It is advised to fortify oneself with adhkar (remembrances of Allah), Ayat al-Kursi, and the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas).
