Is the Hadith, "No one's deeds will admit him to Paradise," contingent upon the Almighty's saying: "Say: 'In the Bounty of Allah, and in His Mercy, therein let them rejoice.' That is better than what they accumulate"?

The interpretation of the verse: ﴿Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy – in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate﴾ is that bounty and mercy are represented by Allah's guidance to His religion and law, especially the Qur'an and faith. True joy lies in guidance and Islam, for it is better and more enduring than the fleeting pleasures of this world. It has been reported from the Salaf that bounty and mercy are Islam and the Sunnah.

Some scholars believe that the mercy in the verse is general, encompassing both this world and the hereafter. So, bounty is Allah's guidance to His religion and success in following the Sharia, and mercy is His forgiveness and dwelling in His Paradise. Joy should be in Allah's bounty and mercy, not in the fleeting things of this world. Believers rejoice in obtaining bounty and anticipating mercy, and had the disbelievers been guided, they would have rejoiced in that. The intention is that true joy is in the hereafter, by entering Paradise through Allah's mercy.
