Whoever reaches the verse of prostration in his recitation should read it and prostrate if possible. Otherwise, only the prostration is waived for him, and he should not skip it. This is because the majority of jurists consider it disliked to skip it in order to avoid prostrating, and because it alters the order of the Qur’an, and following its order is commanded, and because it resembles fleeing from an act of worship.
