What is the ruling regarding a man divorcing his wife while he is angry, and then sending her a divorce message on the same day, knowing that he had previously divorced her in a state of anger, and can the wife continue to live with him after this divorce?
Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce unless it leads to the loss of reason. If the husband divorces his wife while he is not overwhelmed by his intellect, his divorce is valid. Another divorce occurs with the mobile phone message if he intended to initiate a new divorce with it. However, if he intended to inform her of the previous divorce, no new divorce occurs. If he divorces her with three pronouncements while he is aware of what he is saying, she becomes irrevocably divorced from him (baynunah kubra), and she is not permissible for him unless she marries another man and he then divorces her or dies. It is advisable to present the matter to trustworthy scholars.
