Is it permissible for a man to apply henna for adornment, especially for his wedding?

It is not permissible for a man to dye his hands or feet with henna, whether for marriage or otherwise, because it is an adornment specific to women. This is indicated by the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "If you were a woman, you would have changed your nails," meaning with henna. Also, the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the rejection of the effeminate man who dyed his hands and feet with henna. As for dyeing gray hair with henna, it is permissible for men, based on the hadith of Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): "The best things with which you can change this gray hair are henna and katam."
