Is it permissible to obtain an interest-bearing loan to study dentistry in America, knowing that the tuition fees are exorbitant and cannot be secured except through this loan?

Usurious loans are prohibited except in cases of necessity that permit the commission of the forbidden, according to the Almighty's saying: "But whoever is forced, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him." Interest on all types of loans is prohibited usury, and there is no difference between consumer and productive loans; both much and little usury are forbidden. Borrowing with usury does not lose its sinfulness except in cases of necessity, which is a state of danger or severe hardship where one fears harm to life, limb, honor, mind, or property. Therefore, one must ensure the necessity is met before resorting to a usurious loan and seek lawful means. "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him." And whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
