Who assumed the leadership of Bani Hashim in Mecca after the death of Abu Talib?

After the death of Abu Talib, the leadership of Banu Hashim passed to his brother Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib. This is evident from tracing the events following Abu Talib's death, as Al-Abbas accompanied the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, at the Second Pledge of Aqabah and spoke on his behalf, and also from his leadership of Banu Hashim in the Battle of Badr. Before Abu Talib, the leadership was held by his brother Al-Zubayr ibn Abd al-Muttalib, who called for the Hilf al-Fudul (Pact of the Virtuous).
