What is the ruling on forging a document required for employment if the possibility of obtaining the job depends on it?

The ruling on that is that it is deception and fraud, and it is not permissible. There has been a severe warning reported concerning it, from which the bodies of believers shiver. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats is not of me."
