What is the Mother of Worships?

Prayer is the mother of all acts of worship and the second pillar of Islam after the two testimonies of faith. It is the first act of worship a Muslim is commanded to perform. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Mu'adh: "You are going to a people from the People of the Scripture. Let the first thing you invite them to be the testimony that there is no god but Allah. If they obey you in that, then inform them that Allah has enjoined upon them five prayers in every day and night." It is also the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment. So, whoever's prayer is sound will succeed and prosper, and whoever's prayer is corrupt will fail and lose.
