How is the Qur’an forsaken, and what are the types of such forsaking?

The verse (And the Messenger said, "My Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as abandoned") is interpreted to mean that abandoning the Qur'an includes: not listening to it and creating noise when it is recited, ceasing to believe in it and affirm its truth, abandoning its contemplation and understanding, failing to act upon it and not obeying its commands or avoiding its prohibitions, forsaking arbitration by it, not seeking healing through it, and turning away from listening to it towards listening to amusement and singing.
