Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to stop visiting her parents who abuse her verbally and physically, and who prevent her sisters from communicating with her, either for a temporary or permanent period?

Kindness to parents and companionship with them in goodness is obligatory, even if they are polytheists and command their child to associate partners with Allah. The duty is to honor them and be kind to them in a way that does not harm one's religion or worldly life. If visiting them causes harm, then it is permissible to forgo it while maintaining ties through communication and inquiry. Responding to evil with good brings affection and protects against the harm of Satan.
