How can I be saved from the misguidance I am living in?

We advise you to hasten with sincere repentance, to maintain the obligatory prayers, and to increase good deeds and supererogatory acts, for sins and transgressions are destructive, and there is no cure for them except repentance to Allah the Almighty: "So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner." The path of righteousness is clear and evident. You must have sincere intention, strong resolve, keep company with the righteous, frequently sit with them, and learn what Allah has made obligatory upon you. Stay away from bad companions and human devils, for their company is death to the heart, deviation, and misery: "Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous." Every son of Adam errs, and the best of those who err are those who repent. And whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" Steadfastness upon the religion of Allah is the only way to happiness and tranquility of heart.
