What should I do about the forbidden content that I translated and published, which includes atheistic expressions, issues related to other religions, and scenes of nudity, especially since I no longer have the ability to delete it due to its re-publication by others after my repentance?
As long as you have repented to Allah and exerted your effort in removing what has passed of the forbidden translations, then there is no sin upon you for what remains and what you were unable to remove. The majority of the scholars of Usul (principles of Islamic jurisprudence) affirm the validity of repentance in such cases, because repentance is obligatory, and the repentant person has done everything they are capable of. Whoever repents from inviting to sin, and their repentance is sincere, it is not a condition that those who were invited abandon that misguidance. Rather, it is incumbent upon him to invite them to guidance, just as he invited them to misguidance, if he is able to do so. We advise you to strive in spreading beneficial and useful translations so that you may be rewarded for them.
