The answer

Singing accompanied by music is forbidden, according to evidence from the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the sayings of the early Muslims. There is no distinction in this ruling between different types of singing; love songs are even more strictly forbidden. Allah has replaced this for the Muslim with a better form of listening, one that brings peace to the heart and increases faith, which is listening to His verses. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, the believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely Those who establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them Those are the true believers. For them are degrees [of honor] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision." [Al-Anfal: 2-4].
