What are the most important motivations for translating the Holy Qur’an into European languages?

One of the most important motives for translating the meanings of the Qur'an into non-Arabic languages is to convey and make understandable the words of Allah to speakers of those languages, so that perhaps they may be guided by it, act upon it, and know what it calls to.
