How do we understand the Holy Qur’an?

Allah revealed the Quran for contemplation. Among the greatest aids to understanding it is learning the Arabic language, for by knowing its styles, one comprehends its meanings, and by consulting books of Tafsir (exegesis). If learning Arabic is not possible, Muslims have translated the meanings of the Quran into various languages to facilitate its understanding for non-Arabs, and French has received many of these books.
