Will the repentance of someone who masturbates be accepted after he becomes aware of the Prophetic Hadith: "Seven types of people Allah will not look at on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and He will cast them into the Fire: the one who performs the act [of sodomy], the one upon whom it is performed, the one who marries by his hand [i.e., masturbates], the one who marries an animal, the one who marries a woman through her anus, the one who combines a woman and her daughter [in marriage], the one who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, and the one who harms his neighbor until he curses him"?

The aforementioned Hadith is very weak, and there is no specific text in it that curses the perpetrator of masturbation or specifies their punishment. However, scholars have agreed on its prohibition based on the Almighty's saying: (And those who guard their private parts. Except from their wives or those whom their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed. But whoever seeks beyond that - then those are the transgressors). Thus, masturbation is considered among the "transgression" mentioned in the verse. And the door of repentance is open for whoever repents, for Allah accepts the repentance of all His servants and forgives sins.
