Is it permissible for a husband to expel his wife from her home, threaten her with divorce, and force her to leave in the middle of the night, merely because they disagreed on hosting a relative?

The wife is not permitted to host anyone in her husband's home without his permission, even if they are her mahram, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "You have a right over them that they should not allow anyone you dislike to tread on your carpets." It is not permissible for the husband to harm his wife or expose her to danger; rather, he must treat her kindly, as Allah Almighty has commanded. It is advisable for wise people to intervene to reconcile between the spouses. They should also foster mutual understanding, respect, forgive slips, and accept apologies for the stability of their marital life.
