How can one remain steadfast in Islam and committed to its rulings in a non-Muslim society, given the absence of Muslim role models?
He who tells you to be a Muslim may be an angel, for whatever good comes to you is a blessing from Allah, and whatever tempts you to go out dancing and form relationships is from Satan, so seek refuge in Allah from him. Do not be concerned with the multitude of those who perish around you, nor consider these throngs of disbelievers, for what is the value of life if a person lives following his whims and indulging in vices? Amidst the bad environment in which you live, you must hold fast to Allah and frequently supplicate Him to protect you from sin and keep you steadfast in religion. And frequently say: "O Transformer of hearts, make my heart steadfast upon Your religion." Try to seek out Muslim women with whom you can enjoin one another to truth and patience, and invite your parents to the path of truth.
